Community Christian Women's Basketball fell on the road Tuesday evening, dropping a 107–41 decision at Edison State on January 13.
DC3 showed improved energy after halftime, putting together its best offensive stretch in the fourth quarter with 16 points, but Edison State maintained its rhythm and depth to pull away for the win.
Miarah Freeman led Community Christian with 10 points off the bench, knocking down the team's lone three-pointer and going a perfect 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. Alvion Williams added eight points and eight rebounds, while Rylee Mott chipped in seven points and four rebounds. Defensively, Aniysia Lewis and Alvion Williams each recorded three blocks.
DC3 will look to regroup and build on the positive stretches shown late in the game as the Lady Lions continue their season next Thursday, at home vs Madonna's JV squad. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm.
