Lady Lions Fall to Hocking on Monday Night

DETROIT, Mich. – Community Christian College Women's Basketball ran into a deep and physical Hocking College squad on Monday evening, as the Lady Lions dropped a 96–39 decision on January 5th in Detroit.

Hocking jumped out quickly, opening the game on a 27–3 run in the first quarter and setting the tone early. Community Christian responded with its best stretch of the night in the second quarter, outscoring the Hawks 18–15 to head into halftime trailing 42–21.

Rylee Mott led the Lady Lions with 18 points, knocking down a pair of three-pointers and going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line while playing the full 40 minutes. Alvion Williams added 10 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks, while Aniysia Lewis contributed eight points and six rebounds.

The Lady Lions will look to regroup and build on the positives from the second quarter as they continue their schedule tomorrow against Marian University Ancilla.
