DETROIT, Mich. — The Community Christian College Women's Basketball team faced a tough test Tuesday evening, falling 100–33 to Macomb Community College at the Bonner Community Center.
Macomb set the tone early, opening the game on a 20–7 first-quarter run and steadily building separation throughout the night. The Lady Lions showed resilience defensively and on the glass, but struggled to find offensive consistency against Macomb's depth and pressure.
Rylee Mott led Community Christian with 11 points, adding three assists while logging a team-high 37 minutes. Tices Spicer provided a strong presence inside, finishing with 13 rebounds and seven points, while Chancia Williams battled on the boards with nine rebounds and added a block. Alvion Williams anchored the defense with six blocks and seven rebounds despite a difficult shooting night.
Community Christian worked to stay competitive in the second quarter, trimming the deficit with improved ball movement and defensive effort, but Macomb's balanced scoring and efficiency widened the margin after halftime.
Despite the final score, the Lady Lions continued to compete through all four quarters, gaining valuable experience against a strong Macomb squad. Community Christian will look to regroup and carry the lessons learned into its next outing at home against Hocking College, Monday January 5th at 5pm.
