Women's Basketball Falls at Tri-C

Community Christian Women's Basketball could not slow down a high-powered Cuyahoga offense on Tuesday night, falling 108–38 in Highland Hills. The Lady Lions fought through a difficult start offensively and trailed 28–7 after the first quarter before settling in as the game progressed.

Rylee Mott continued her strong early-season play, leading the Lions with 13 points, five rebounds and three assists while shooting efficiently from the field. Tices Spicer added 12 points and four rebounds in one of her most productive outings of the year, and freshman guard Shunyah Howard chipped in six points, knocking down a pair of threes.

Chancia Williams provided steady two-way minutes with four points, four rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block. Off the bench, Aniya Spaulding contributed one point, two boards and three assists, while Miarah Freeman added two points.

Despite the loss, Community Christian generated 12 assists on its 17 made field goals and showed stretches of cohesive ball movement. The Lions will look to regroup and carry those positives into their next matchup against Oakland Community College tomorrow afternoon.
