ELY, MN -- The Community Christian College Women's Basketball team dropped a contest to Minnesota North College-Vermillion on Saturday 59-50. With the loss, Community Christian slips to 3-20.
Community Christian had a strong start, leading after halftime 22-21. MNC-V went on a run in the third quarter, and led the rest of the way.
Karisma Matthews led all Community Christian players with 15 points. Those points are a career high for the DC3 Sophomore.
Aqierra Hinton added 13 points, and Dasia Croft contributed 10.
Stats were fairly even across the board, with the hosts having an advantage in the shooting percentage and assists.
Community Christian plays Hocking on the road this Tuesday at 5:30p.m., a makeup from a snowed-out game last week.
