Lions Roll Past Bobcats at Home

Community Christian College Men's Basketball delivered a dominant all-around performance Thursday night, cruising to a 102–58 victory over Bryant & Stratton (Ohio) at home.
The Lions set the tone early, erupting for 53 first-half points and never allowing the visitors to find a rhythm. Community Christian shot an efficient 51.2 percent from the field and controlled the glass throughout, finishing with a commanding 59–33 rebounding advantage.
Six Lions reached double figures in scoring, led by Teyshaun Hicks, who came off the bench to score a game-high 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Kevin Steele Jr. and Gabriel Buttram each added 14 points, with Steele knocking down two three-pointers and Buttram stuffing the stat sheet with nine rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block.
Jeremy Willingham provided a spark from beyond the arc, hitting three three-pointers on his way to 14 points, while Solomon Parks chipped in 12 points and five rebounds in just 20 minutes of action. Trey West added eight points and four assists, helping facilitate the offense as the Lions piled up 19 assists on 42 made field goals.
Defensively, DC3 was relentless, forcing 14 turnovers and recording 10 steals and seven blocks. TaiQuan Owens anchored the interior off the bench with a strong effort on the boards, grabbing 10 rebounds to go along with two blocks.
After taking a 53–34 lead into halftime, the Lions continued to apply pressure in the second half, outscoring Bryant & Stratton 49–24 to put the game away early and allow for balanced minutes across the roster.
Community Christian will look to carry the momentum forward on the road against Genesee Community College on Saturday, continuing to build depth and consistency on both ends of the floor.
