Balanced Attack Lifts Men's Basketball Past Alpena, 77–67

Community Christian College Men's Basketball completed a successful doubleheader sweep Saturday as the men's team secured a 77–67 win over Alpena Community College.

The Lions controlled the game from the opening minutes, building a 36–24 halftime lead and maintaining separation throughout the second half with strong rebounding and free-throw efficiency.

Freshman forward Gabriel Buttram dominated the interior with 20 points and 17 rebounds, one of the most impressive performances of his collegiate career. Trey West added 18 points and 9 rebounds, attacking consistently and converting at the line (8-for-10).

Freshman guard Teyshaun Hicks provided a spark with 14 points, while Terrance Hicks chipped in 11 points and 4 assists.

Community Christian punished Alpena on the boards with a 53–42 rebounding advantage and converted 26 of 33 free throws to keep the Lumberjacks at arm's length. Defensively, DC3 held Alpena to just 2-of-25 from three (8%), eliminating long-range threats and forcing them into contested drives.

With the victory, the Lions improve to 5–10, picking up a much-needed home win and carrying momentum into their next matchup against UC Clermont on Wednesday, December 10th. Tip off is at 7:30pm.
