Lions Drop Two in DMACC Tournament

BOONE, Iowa — Community Christian College Men's Basketball wrapped up a two-game road swing in Iowa over the weekend, falling to Des Moines Area Community College on Friday night and Iowa Central Community College on Saturday afternoon.

Game 1 — DMACC 106, Community Christian 66 (Nov. 14)

The Lions opened the weekend against unbeaten Des Moines Area Community College, keeping pace early with a 32-point first half before DMACC's depth carried the hosts to a 106–66 final.

Terrance Hicks led DC3 with 14 points, adding three rebounds, two assists, and two steals in one of his strongest all-around performances of the season. Jeremy Willingham provided an efficient spark off the bench with 13 points, while Kajuan Kearney and Kenneth Weston each added five and six points, respectively.

Teyshaun Hicks contributed six points and two assists, and Gabriel Buttram added six more with two rebounds. Deondre Gibson pulled down four boards to pace the Lions inside. In total, twelve Lions reached the scoring column as Community Christian continued to utilize its full rotation.

Game 2 — Iowa Central 118, Community Christian 57 (Nov. 15)

The Lions closed the trip with a matchup against Iowa Central, where a strong Tritons start created a gap that Community Christian was unable to overcome in a 118–57 final.

Despite the scoreline, the Lions battled through all four quarters, showing improved ball movement and defensive stretches throughout the second half. DC3's full roster saw action as the Lions continued to build depth and experience against a nationally competitive opponent.
