McKenzie played eight seasons in the National Football League with the Green Bay Packers, the Chicago Bears, the Buffalo Bills and the Cleveland Browns. This included winning a Super Bowl championship with the Packers in 1996. He has coached throughout the Division I and II college ranks for 15 years. McKenzie was drafted in the seventh round of the 1996 NFL draft by the Packers.
McKenzie, a Detroit native, previously served as the defensive line coach at his alma mater, Ball State University (2016-2022). Prior to his time at BSU, McKenzie coached the linebackers at Wayne State University in Detroit (2008-2015).
As a player, McKenzie set the career sacks record (25) and was inducted into the Ball State University Hall of Fame in 2006.
"We're thrilled to have someone as talented and accomplished as Coach McKenzie with us at C.C.C.," stated Reardon. "His knowledge, expertise, and experience will only add to the growth and development of our players and this football program."
