Community Christian College Athletic Director Jeff Reardon is pleased to announce the hiring of Jimmie Macon as Assistant Head Football Coach and Co-Offensive Coordinator for the 2025 season.

“Coach Macon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role,” Reardon said.

Having coached football for nearly 30 years, Macon has been a staple in the City of Detroit.  He is currently the Head Coach at Detroit Central High School, a position he has held for the last decade.  A proven winner, Macon has compiled a 59-25 record over the past eight seasons including a district championship in 2024.  He is closing in on 200 career wins.  His previous coaching stints also include University of Detroit Jesuit (2007) and Allen Academy (2015).

As further evidence of his commitment to the youth of Detroit, Macon is in his fourth year serving as president of the Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) Coaches Association.  Since 2018, he has also served as regional director of the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA).

Macon has been tabbed as the head coach of the East All-Star squad for the upcoming East vs. West All-Star game in June of 2025.  He served as an assistant coach for the All-Star game in 2019.

According to Reardon, “Coach Macon is an outstanding addition to our coaching staff.  His expertise and leadership will be instrumental in helping C.C.C. football take the next step forward.  We are thrilled to have him with us.”
