Victory in Ohio! Football Wins 3 in a Row
GENEVA, OH -- The Community Christian College football program extends their program-high wins in a season to 5, after beating Ohio Valley's Community Christian College program 14-7 on Saturday afternoon.
The Detroit squad moves to 5-5 on the season.
After a scoreless 1st half, the Lions scored on the first drive of the second half with an impressive goal-line fade to Rashawn Williams. After missing the 2-point try, the lead was set at 6-0.
Midway in the 4th quarter, Ohio Valley scored on a long play to take the lead, 7-6. Detroit would have 5 minutes left to score a game-winning drive.
The Lions would use the Wildcat formation to run the ball down Ohio's throat, capping off with an end-around play for a 3-yard touchdown to Trey West. Williams would score on the 2-point try to win the game, 14-7.
Detroit will end their season on Saturday, November 8th at Andrew College. Kickoff is set for 3pm.
